ROUND-UP June 28-June 30, 2019

Hello readers! Some end-of-June movie reviews that got published after I made the last round-up (oops!), like one in an academic journal (!)
"There are kernels of a more thoughtful narrative that could have been told in Red Joan, if the filmmakers were committed either to following Norwood’s life more closely or committed to stressing the struggle Joan faces in reconciling her scientific mind with her humanitarian concern for people’s welfare, and for the loss of human life that these nuclear technologies could cause."
(Author's note: this publication has been in the works for well over a year. It's a movie review in an academic journal, so I apologize that it isn't publicly accessible. This opportunity sort of fell into my lap--I was on Twitter at the right place and the right time to see a Call For Papers.)
